چکیده
Abstract Background and Aims Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is an established major risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Moreover, progression of CKD results in end-stage disease, increased death. The recently proposed metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver (MAFLD) has been suggested to better reflect developing CKD. This study aimed evaluate the association between triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index patients with MAFLD. Method In data from medical records database Gangnam Severance Hospital 2006 through 2020, a longitudinal analysis included participants MAFLD was diagnosed individuals hepatic steatosis at least one conditions as follows: 1) overweight or obese (defined body mass [BMI] ≥ 23 kg/m2), 2) type 2 diabetes mellitus, 3) two more abnormalities. Progression defined by reduction GFR ≥30% baseline. Logistic regression analyses were used determine TyG adjusting influence confounders. Results 4,286 patients, whom 582 had Mean age 51.49 ± 11.451 years. After age, sex, systolic blood pressure, fasting plasma glucose, CRP, LDL-cholesterol smoking status, associated [OR 1.760 (1.089-2.844), P = 0.021]. Conclusion demonstrated that significantly

Impaired kidney function and chronic kidney disease (CKD) leading to kidney failure and end-stage renal disease (ESRD) is a serious medical condition associated with increased morbidity, mortality, and in particular cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk. CKD is associated with multiple physiological and metabolic disturbances, including hypertension, dyslipidemia and the anorexia-cachexia syndrome ...
متن کاملUtility of Modeling End-Stage Liver Disease in Children with Chronic Liver Disease
Introduction: Chronic liver diseases consist of wide spectrum disorders that may be complicated by cirrhosis and therefore need to transplantation. The pediatric end-stage liver disease (PELD) score and model of end-stage liver disease (MELD) score has been used as predictors of mortality chronic liver diseases listed for liver transplantation. The aim of this study is evaluation of relation be...
متن کاملFatty liver associated with metabolic derangement in patients with chronic kidney disease: A controlled attenuation parameter study
BACKGROUND Hepatic steatosis measured with controlled attenuation parameter (CAP) using transient elastography predicts metabolic syndrome in the general population. We investigated whether CAP predicted metabolic syndrome in chronic kidney disease patients. METHODS CAP was measured with transient elastography in 465 predialysis chronic kidney disease patients (mean age, 57.5 years). RESULT...
